Leadership Profile

On Monday, March 2 the Leadership Profile Report was presented by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates for the new District Administrator based on feedback from surveys and focus groups that were conducted in February.

The top-rated leadership profile characteristics that were identified by stakeholders are:
- Foster a positive, professional climate of mutual trust and respect among faculty, staff, and adminstrators
- Be visible throughout the District and actively engaged in community life
- Recruit, employ, and retain effective personnel throughout the District and its schools
- Understand and be sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population
- Establish a culture of high expectations for all students and personnel

Leadership Profile Report presented to Board: Monday, March 2

HYA Screening Interviews: Until Friday, March 20

Slate presented to Board: Monday, March 23 (Closed Session via Google Hangouts due to the CDC recommendations of cancelling gatherings of more than 10 individuals.)

Board initial interviews: Monday, April 6 & Tuesday, April 7 (Closed Session)

Board meets to identify finalists: After the last interview

Finalist Interviews: April 13-?

Board meets to identify preferred candidate: Within a few days of the finalists’ interviews

Target for public announcement: May 1

District Administrator assumes responsibilities: July 1, 2020

Whitewater Unified School District has retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in assisting Boards in recruiting and placing executive leadership, for the search of a new District Administrator.
