The onset of state mandated testing and accountability, including national expectations in NCLB, necessitates a clearly delineated research-based process for improving and sustaining student achievement.



The Curriculum Planning Committee, which meets four times each school year, provides for collaboration among staff and increases information and communications with parents and citizens.



This district-wide committee oversees the horizontal and vertical pre K-12 articulation process as a problem-solving clearinghouse for curriculum products and issues.


The CPC has a broad scope of responsibilities for the oversight of curriculum, assessment, instruction and staff development. The Curriculum Coordinator acts as the committee chair. Members include principals, coordinators and representatives from each school’s Building Leadership Team.
