WTN 5-6 Math Meet Results - Whitewater Wins First Place

WTN 5-6 Math Meet Results - Whitewater Wins First Place

Congratulations to the 5th and 6th graders that competed in the Whitewater Tag Network 5-6 Math Meet that was held on April 17th and hosted by Whitewater Middle School. Five school districts competed in the event. Whitewater Middle School earned first place with 737 points and East Troy came in second with 658 points. 1st place high individual score for 6th grade went to Zach Gross with 98 points and second high individual score for 6th grade went to James Dedrick who had 95 points. Jacob Korf came in third with 91 points. Participating students included: 6th graders – Zach Gross, James Dedrick, Jacob Korf, Casey Skindingsrude and alternate Connor Steinke; 5th graders – Zach Brantmeier, Nicholas Kuzoff, Hunter Martin and Josef Gmur. These students will now advance on to a MEGA Math Meet that will be held on the UW-Madison campus on May 24. We wish them good luck at the next level. Great job everyone! We are very proud of you!

WTN 7-8 Math Meet
WTN 7-8 Math Meet

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th graders that competed in the Whitewater TAG Network 7-8 Math Meet hosted by Whitewater Middle School on April 10. Six school districts competed in the event with Whitewater Middle School coming in third place missing first place to Beloit Turner by only 18 points and missing second place to East Troy by only 6 points. High individual scores for Whitewater went to Troy Marinkovic and Mia Bentel in 8th grade and to Gianna Creanza in 7th grade. Participating students included: 8th graders – Troy Marinkovic, Mia Bentel, Jonathan Caldwell and Izzy Zahn; 7th graders – Gianna Creanza, Mitch Dalzin, Roberto Soto, and Stone Wang. Alternates were Devin Samaranayake and Tyler Niemuth.
Final Scores - Beloit Turner - 711 points, East Troy - 699 points, Whitewater - 693 points, Edgerton - 684 points, Clinton - 614 points, and Palmyra Eagle - 574 points
