Model UN
Students Attend University of Chicago Model UN Conference

Thirteen WHS students spent four days at the Palmer House Hilton in downtown Chicago to debate issues ranging from the Israeli conflict to global maternal mortality. From Thursday, Feb. 4 through Sunday, Feb. 7, more than 2,300 high school students from nearly 100 schools across the country and around the world, representing the member states of the United Nations, discussed the merits and complications of nuclear non-proliferation and passed resolutions concerning the current global economic crisis. The WHS students developed papers on topics dealing with their assigned country of Kazakhstan. Students represented various aspects of the country including economic, health, environment, and culture as delegates to the UN.

New FBLA Regional VP
Kayla Elected New FBLA Regional Vice President

After running a successful campaign at the FBLA Region V Leadership Conference in Fond du Lac on Saturday, February 6, Kayla was selected to represent Region V as the 2010-11 Region V Vice President. One of her main responsibilities will be to host the 2011 Regional Leadership Conference at Whitewater High School next February. Congratulations, Kayla!

FBLA Chapter Claims Third Place at Regionals

After intense preparation and sincere dedication on behalf of the members, the Whitewater FBLA Chapter captured the 3rd Place Chapter Award (34 participating schools) at the Region V Leadership Conference and Competitive Events held at Fond du Lac High School on Saturday, February 6. In addition, 18 members qualified for the State Conference to be held at the Chula Vista Resort, Wisconsin Dells, in April. Congratulations, members, on an outstanding job!
