Math Students Celebrate pi Day People across the nation celebrate a mathematical holiday on March 14th, or 3.14. It is pi Day, known for the famous mathematical constant pi which is 3.14159... and keeps going. Mr. Mike Tamblyn's students celebrated by making t-shirts to honor the number and by eating items that were round, like pie.

FFA Hosts Annual Assembly The student body gathered in the gym during SAFT on Tuesday, March 9 for the annual FFA Assembly to culminate the recent FFA week activities. Part of the assembly was the traditional "Kiss the Animal" contest where Mrs. Susan Payne earned the right to kiss the donkey. Freshmen Advance to State in National History Day Competition Whitewater High School students continued competition at the National History Day Southeastern Wisconsin Regional held at UW-Milwaukee on Saturday, March 6. WHS freshmen participated in this regional with over 300 freshman through senior students from 30 area schools. The top three entries in each competition category advanced to the state competition on May 1 in Madison. Angela qualified for state with her individual performance, "The Great Awakening." Paul and Andy qualified for state with their group performance, "The Manhattan Project."

Music Students Perform in Honors Choirs Kathryn, Jimmy, and Carly participated in the NC-ACDA Honors Choirs in Minneapolis, Minnesota March 4-6. Kathryn and Carly were in the women's honors choir and Jimmy was in the men's choir.
