112 General Nondiscrimination

Discrimination and Harassment Prohibited

I.  GENERAL STATEMENT OF NONDISCRIMINATION FOR Whitewater Unified School District
  1. It is the policy of the Whitewater Unified School District that no person be denied admission to any public school in this district or be denied participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be discriminated against in any curricular, extracurricular, pupil services, recreational or other program or activity because of a person's sex, race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability reason or any other prohibited by state or federal laws or regulations. The Whitewater Unified School District specifically prohibits staff members, students and volunteers from discriminating against or harassing others based on any of the characteristics described in this paragraph. This policy does not, however, prohibit the District from placing a student in a school, class, program or activity based on objective standards of individual performance or need.
B.   Any job applicant or employee wishing to discuss the need for a reasonable accommodation, or other matters related to a disability or the enforcement and application of this policy, should contact the District Administrator at 262-472-8700.
